By completing this scholarship application form, you will be considered for one of the following Monterey County NAACP scholarships.
Scholarships are available to:
To be considered for a scholarship, a student must
Submit a completed scholarship application to the Branch Office.
Please type or print legibly.
If necessary, use an additional sheet to complete your responses.
Your application must be postmarked no later than April 1st.
Late and/or incomplete applications will not be considered.
Provide your high school transcript and, if applicable, your community college transcript.
Submit two letters of recommendation.
Recommendations may be from your pastor, a current/former teacher, or a community leader. No family members, please.
Provide proof of acceptance to a college or university.
Send proof of enrollment to our office.
Disbursement of the scholarship check cannot occur without this proof.
Recipients of a NAACP Scholarship are encouraged to attend the Annual Scholarship Breakfast honoring awardees and sponsored by the Coalition of Scholarship Organizations (COSO). The Scholarship Breakfast is complimentary for the recipients and family members are invited to attend.

If awarded a scholarship, you are encouraged to attend the annual Scholarship Awards Breakfast in the early part of June. This biography will be publicly printed in the Breakfast program. Be sure to include the name of the college/university you plan to attend, your intended major, interests, goals, and GPA.

YOUR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION MUST BE POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN APRIL 1st. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
